David Spade Norfolk reviews
Blame the venue
David was very good, though his performance lasted less than one hour. Show time was 8pm at which point there were two opening acts. One was funnier (his writer) than the other. David ended by 930, which means - less than 90 minutes for three comedians. That is odd. But my main issue is that the staff at the theater allowed for in and out access throughout that ENTIRE time. This was incredibly distracting. It's not a nightclub or comedy club - it's a theater. It was not built for this type of back and forth. And since we sat towards the back of the orchestra we had to contend with the noise and the bright light coming from opening the door so frequently. Worst venue for that reason. Have never seen this done elsewhere.
